Built by UK compers, for UK compers
Sweepzy is the UK competition tracker we built because spreadsheets, browser bookmarks and a dozen comping newsletters were not cutting it. Here is who we are, how we curate UK competitions and what we stand for.
Help every UK comper spend less time admin-ing their hobby and more time winning
Most successful UK compers enter 20 to 30 competitions a day. Done badly, that is two hours of copy-pasting, tab-juggling and missed closing dates. Done well, with one curated competition list and one tracker that remembers everything for you, it is 20 to 30 minutes a day. Sweepzy exists to make the second version the default for everyone — whether you are a five-minute-a-day hobbyist or a daily-grind serial comper. Read the canonical version of the hobby in our what is comping guide.
Find. Track. Remind. Win.
The whole platform is built around one clean loop — the same four steps every successful UK comper runs daily.
- Step 1
Find
Browse 16,000+ live UK competitions, every one checked for UK eligibility before it goes live.
- Step 2
Track
Log every entry in one click — no more spreadsheets, bookmark folders or duplicate entries.
- Step 3
Remind
Get nudged before closing dates so a deadline never slips past unnoticed again.
- Step 4
Win
Log the win, share the story with the community and climb the monthly leaderboard.
How Sweepzy started
From a personal spreadsheet to a UK comping community.
Sweepzy started the way a lot of comping products start: with one comper getting fed up with their own spreadsheet. The founder had been entering UK competitions on and off for a few years — instant wins on Bank Holiday weekends, the big Christmas advent comps, a slow drip of brand newsletter giveaways through the rest of the year. The wins were nice. The admin was not.
The spreadsheet had columns for the competition name, the closing date, the entry method, whether it had been entered, where the prize draw lived and a notes column full of cryptic shorthand. It worked, sort of, until it did not — duplicate entries, closing dates missed by an hour, comps that had been won by someone else weeks before still sat in the "to do" column. The browser bookmarks folder was worse.
The first version of Sweepzy was built for personal use. A small database of UK comps with a one-click entry tracker. Then a deadline reminder. Then a quick win log. Friends in the comping community started asking for accounts. The forum came next. Then the Sweepzy Mailbox — a unique you@sweepzy.co.uk email address that auto-detects competition wins from confirmation emails — once it became obvious that the genuinely useful comping tooling didn’t exist anywhere else.
Today Sweepzy lists 16,000+ live UK competitions, adds 500+ new ones every month and hosts a growing community of compers swapping tips, sharing wins and gently teasing each other about runs of bad luck. It is still built by compers, for compers — that part has not changed and is not going to.

Curation & Support
A small group of UK-based compers who verify new competitions, answer support emails and keep the platform ticking over. Not every name is public — comping is still a hobby for most of us.

Six things you will not find elsewhere
There are other UK comp aggregators. Here is where Sweepzy is deliberately not the same as the rest of them.
UK-only focus
Every competition is checked for UK eligibility. No US sweepstakes you cannot enter, no global Instagram giveaways excluding GB residents — just UK comps that UK compers can actually win.
Free forever tier
The free plan includes unlimited entry tracking, the full competition database, the forum and achievements. It is not a 14-day trial — it stays free as long as you want it to.
No aggressive upsells
No popups every time you log in, no dark-pattern paywalls, no nagging emails. Premium is there if you want hands-free tracking via the Sweepzy Mailbox and the Chrome extension. If you do not, the free plan is genuinely usable.
Community first
Forums, win stories, achievement badges and a monthly leaderboard with real Amazon-voucher prizes for the top three Premium members. Comping is more fun when you share it.
No competitor scraping
We do not scrape or republish listings from other UK competition trackers. Our sources are brand newsletters, official promoter social posts, community submissions and our own discovery — never a copy-and-paste from someone else’s site.
Built by compers
Every feature exists because someone on the team or in the community asked for it. Deadline reminders, win analytics, the Mailbox — all of it came from real comper workflows, not a generic SaaS template.
How we curate UK competitions
Every competition on Sweepzy goes through the same four-step process before, during and after it appears on the site.
Discovery
New competitions reach us four ways: brand newsletters we subscribe to, official social posts from UK promoters, community submissions from signed-in members and our own discovery work. We do not scrape other UK competition aggregators.
Verification
Before a competition goes live we check the promoter is genuine, the entry route is free (or any purchase requirement is clearly disclosed), the prize is described accurately, the closing date matches the official source and the comp is open to UK residents.
Publishing
Approved competitions are tagged by entry method, prize type and seasonal category so members can filter sensibly. Closing-date reminders are wired up automatically for anyone who marks an entry as logged.
Removal
We remove competitions that have closed, that point at broken links, that get re-confirmed as scams or that change their rules to exclude UK entrants after going live. Members can flag any listing for review from the competition page.

Editorial standards
We treat the Sweepzy blog and comping guides like resources, not SEO bait. Here is what every published post commits to.
- Every blog post and guide is written by a human with first-hand UK comping experience. No raw AI-generated text gets shipped under our byline.
- Posts are fact-checked against the underlying source (HMRC, Gambling Commission, GDPR guidance, brand T&Cs) before publishing.
- When UK law or guidance changes — gambling rules, GDPR, the HMRC position on prize tax, ASA promotional rules — we update affected posts and date the change in the article.
- Outbound links go to original sources where possible (gov.uk, the Gambling Commission, the ICO, the relevant promoter), not to thin SEO content.
- We disclose affiliate or partnership relationships in the post itself, not buried in a footer.
- Reader feedback that flags a factual error gets a same-week fix. Email hello@sweepzy.co.uk if you spot one.
Our values
Four principles that shape every decision we make about Sweepzy.
Community first
Comping is more fun in a group. We invest in the forum, win stories and achievement badges because the social side keeps people in the hobby long-term.
Everyone can win
Wins are part skill, part volume, part luck. With the right tools and a bit of persistence, a complete beginner can be logging their first win inside a fortnight.
Quality over quantity
We would rather list 16,000 verified UK comps than 80,000 unfiltered ones. Curated listings save you time and protect you from scams.
Always listening
Most of what is on the roadmap came from member feedback. If something on Sweepzy frustrates you, tell us — there is a good chance we will fix it.

Data and privacy
What we collect
Account email, the entries and wins you choose to log, your forum activity and standard server logs. Premium subscribers also have billing information processed by Stripe.
What we never do
Sell personal data, share it with ad networks for retargeting, or pass it to competition promoters. Your entry log is yours.
Full detail — including data retention, your GDPR rights and the third-party processors we use — is in the Sweepzy privacy policy.
Company information
Sweepzy is operated by an independent UK-based team. We are a working software business with real users, real subscribers and a real support team — not a shell site or an offshore reseller. We deliberately do not publish every internal detail (some of the team comp anonymously and would rather keep it that way), but if you need formal company information for a partnership, a press enquiry or an affiliate relationship, email hello@sweepzy.co.uk and we will share what is appropriate.
Payments are processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1). The site is hosted on UK and EU infrastructure and we comply with UK GDPR.
Press and media
Writing about UK comping, the rise of the hobby, prize tax, GDPR or the state of promotional law? Happy to provide quotes, anonymised win data or background. Email hello@sweepzy.co.uk with "Press" in the subject line.
Partnerships and affiliates
Running UK competitions and want them in front of an engaged audience? Building a comping tool that complements ours? Read our affiliate programme page or email hello@sweepzy.co.uk with "Partnership" in the subject line.
Get in touch
Support, feedback, bug reports, partnership pitches and the occasional "you saved me from a missed deadline, thank you" email — all welcome.
