Yes. The Free plan includes unlimited entry tracking, full access to every competition we list, the community forum, achievements and win logging — for as long as you like. Premium (£5/month or £50/year, around 17% saving on annual) adds the Sweepzy Mailbox for hands-free win detection, the Chrome extension auto-fill, an ad-free experience and Amazon-voucher leaderboard prizes.

How does Sweepzy actually work day-to-day?

The loop is simple. Open Sweepzy, browse or filter the live competitions feed, click through to enter on the promoter's site, then tick "entered" so we add it to your tracker. We send you a reminder before each one closes and (with Premium Mailbox) auto-detect wins from your email. Most compers spend 20-30 minutes a day in this loop.

How do I enter competitions through Sweepzy?

Sweepzy lists competitions but you enter them directly on the promoter's website — this is important, because it keeps your entry valid and traceable to you. When you click a competition card, we open the promoter's official entry page in a new tab. You complete their form, then mark the competition as entered in Sweepzy to track it.

Premium adds five things: the Sweepzy Mailbox (your own you@sweepzy.co.uk address that auto-detects competition wins from confirmation emails), the Chrome extension for one-click entry-form auto-fill, an ad-free browsing experience across the site, monthly Amazon-voucher leaderboard prizes (£20 / £10 / £5 for the top three Premium members), and priority email support. Everything else — unlimited tracking, all competitions, the forum — is free forever.

How much does Premium cost?

Premium is £5 per month or £50 per year. The annual plan works out at roughly £4.17/month, a saving of around 17% (you essentially get two months free). Both prices are inclusive of UK VAT where applicable. We have not raised prices since launch and have no plans to.

How do I upgrade to Premium?

Accepted Answer

Click "Upgrade" from your dashboard or visit the Sweepzy pricing page. Choose monthly or annual, then Stripe handles the checkout — you can pay with any major card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You'll have Premium access within seconds of payment.

Can I cancel my Premium subscription anytime?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Go to Settings → Billing and click "Cancel subscription". You keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period (so if you cancel a monthly plan mid-month, you have Premium until the renewal date), then automatically revert to the Free plan. No questions, no retention call, no friction.

Do you offer refunds?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on annual Premium subscriptions. If Premium is not what you expected within the first week, email us and we issue a full refund, no quibbles. Monthly Premium subscriptions are non-refundable but you can cancel anytime to stop the next renewal.

How do I update my payment method or download an invoice?

Open Settings → Billing → "Manage subscription". This takes you into the Stripe billing portal where you can update your card, see your full payment history and download VAT-compliant invoices. Sweepzy never sees or stores your card details — that all stays with Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1).

Can I delete my Sweepzy account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, at any time. Go to Settings → Account → "Delete account". This permanently removes your profile, tracked entries, logged wins, forum posts and stored email — within 30 days, in line with our privacy policy. If you'd like a copy of your data first, you can export it from the same page.

How does the Sweepzy entry tracker work?

Click 'entered' on any competition and we log it with the closing date, prize, source and your entry timestamp. From your dashboard you can sort by closing date, filter by prize type or entry method, mark wins, and see your full entry history. How are competitions added to Sweepzy?

We use a mix of automated discovery and manual curation. Our team verifies each competition — checking promoter legitimacy, terms and conditions, closing dates and UK eligibility — before it goes live. We add around 500 new competitions every month, with most live within hours of the promoter publishing them.

Can I filter competitions by entry method or prize type?

Yes. Use the filters on the competitions page to narrow by entry method (web form, social media, instant win, email, SMS, post), prize type (vouchers, holidays, tech, food and drink, family, cash), closing window (closing today / this week / this month) and prize value tier. Premium members get advanced filters including hide-already-entered.

How do closing-date reminders work?

When you mark a competition as entered, we automatically queue a reminder email a configurable time before it closes (default 24 hours). You can also opt-in to "closing today" digest emails so you don't miss flash deadlines. See our deadline reminders feature for the full options.

Can I save competitions for later without entering yet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use the heart icon on any competition card to add it to your favourites. Free users get unlimited favourites; we just ask that you do not use it as a parking lot for thousands of competitions (use the tracker for that). You can move favourites to entered with one click when you're ready.

How do I log a win?

Accepted Answer

When a competition you tracked sends a winner email, open the entry in your dashboard and click "log win". Record the prize, value and (optionally) a photo. Your wins feed into your profile stats, the community leaderboard and the win-rate analytics dashboard so you can see which entry methods and prize types pay off best for you.

Achievements are badges you unlock for milestones (first win, 100 entries, posting in the forum, 30-day streak). The leaderboard ranks the most active and most successful members each month. What do UK compers actually win?

Mostly small wins: Amazon and high-street vouchers (£10-£100), beauty bundles, food hampers, family toys, tech gadgets like an Echo or Kindle, and occasionally tickets or experiences. Three things move the dial most: consistency (20-30 entries a day, every day), choosing lower-entry competitions (small brands and local promoters over giant national ones), and never re-entering the same competition (instant disqualification). The promoter contacts you directly — usually by email, sometimes by DM, occasionally by phone or post. Most prize draws notify winners 2-6 weeks after closing. If you use the Sweepzy Mailbox (Premium), confirmation and winner emails arriving at your you@sweepzy.co.uk address are auto-detected and surfaced in your dashboard.

Are competition winnings taxable in the UK?

No, not for individuals. HMRC treats UK competition wins as windfall gains rather than income, so they're tax-free regardless of value. The one exception is systematic prize reselling, which can be classed as trading income. Casual reselling of unwanted prizes is fine.

How do I claim a prize?

Reply to the winner email within the claim window stated in the terms (usually 7-28 days). The promoter will ask for the details they need to ship the prize — name, address, sometimes a photo for their socials. Never send payment, bank passwords or ID-document scans. Legitimate UK promoters never ask for any of those.

What if I miss the claim deadline?

Most promoters will re-draw the prize and pick a runner-up — you forfeit the win. This is the single most preventable mistake in comping, which is why we recommend turning on Sweepzy's win notifications and (if you're Premium) using the Sweepzy Mailbox so winner emails can't get buried in your inbox.

Do you share winners publicly?

Only with explicit consent. Members can choose to share wins on the community leaderboard or the public Sweepzy winner stories page. By default your wins are private and tied only to your profile. You can change this in Settings → Privacy at any time.

Yes. Sweepzy is a UK-registered service built and run from the UK. We're fully GDPR-compliant, we never sell user data, payments are handled by Stripe (PCI-DSS Level 1), and our infrastructure runs on Supabase with EU/UK-region hosting. Is my data safe with Sweepzy?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms — we cannot read them. Do you share my information with competition promoters?

Never. When you click through to enter a competition you are interacting directly with the promoter's own website. Sweepzy does not pass your name, email or any tracking identifier to them. The only data they receive is what you submit on their form yourself.

Are all the competitions you list safe and genuine?

We manually verify every competition before it goes live: checking the promoter is real, that terms and conditions exist, that the closing date is honoured, that the prize is genuine. We remove anything suspicious immediately. If you ever see a competition that doesn't look right, use the report button on the listing — we investigate every report.

Three rules: never pay to claim a prize (legitimate UK promoters never charge), never share your password or bank login (no real win requires that), and verify any "winner" message against the official promoter contact. Use a strong, unique password (a password manager helps), enable two-factor authentication in Settings → Security if you have not already, and review your active sessions periodically. If you ever suspect unauthorised access, change your password immediately and email security@sweepzy.co.uk so we can investigate.

You have full UK GDPR rights — access, rectification, deletion, portability and objection. The fastest way to exercise them is in-app: Settings → Account lets you export all your data as a JSON file or delete your account permanently. Sweepzy works on every modern browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari and Brave, on both desktop and mobile. We test against the latest two major versions of each. If you hit a rendering issue, force-refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) before raising a bug — and tell us your browser version when you do.

The Premium Chrome extension stores your common entry details (name, address, phone, DOB, socials) and one-click-fills entry forms across most UK competition sites. It typically cuts a 90-second entry to 10 seconds. Install from the Chrome Web Store after you've upgraded to Premium and signed in.

In order: check your spam/junk folder, whitelist hello@sweepzy.co.uk and noreply@sweepzy.co.uk in your email provider, then check Settings → Notifications to confirm the channel is enabled. Gmail in particular is aggressive about filtering — adding us to your contacts usually fixes it for good.

Yes. From Settings → Import you can upload a CSV with columns for competition name, source URL, closing date, entry date and prize. We map columns automatically and most spreadsheets import cleanly in seconds. Your existing entries appear in your tracker with all the dates and statuses preserved.
