Comping Analytics
See your true win rate, your best entry sources and your real prize value. Comping analytics built for UK compers — free with every Sweepzy account.
Comping analytics is the difference between guessing and improving
Most UK compers go years without ever measuring their real win rate. They remember the £200 holiday they won in March, forget the 400 entries that did not land, and quietly convince themselves their strategy is working. Honest comping analytics fixes that — uncomfortable for a week, motivating after a month, transformational after three.
Sweepzy turns every entry you log in the competition tracker into a dashboard of UK comping stats: lifetime win rate, win rate by source, prize value distribution, time-of-day patterns, category performance and monthly trends. If you have ever wondered why some compers seem to win constantly, the answer is usually that they read their own numbers.
This page covers what gets measured, how to use the analytics to win more, and the questions compers ask most often. For the broader hobby context, see comping statistics and our guide to maximise your chances of winning.

Every UK comping stat you actually need
Sweepzy comping analytics covers everything from entries by source to prize-value distribution — and nothing made up.
Entries by source
Every entry is tagged with its source — website, social media, email, postal, on-pack, instant-win — so the dashboard can break results down by channel.
Win rate by entry type
Win percentage calculated per entry type. Most compers find their instant-win rate is wildly different from their social comp win rate.
Time-of-day patterns
Heatmaps show when you enter and when you win. Useful for finding the sweet-spot 20 minutes that actually convert.
Category performance
Performance by prize category — cash, holidays, tech, vouchers, food and drink, experiences. Pulled from prize tags in the tracker.
Monthly trends
Twelve-month rolling trend lines for entries, wins, prize value and average prize value. A reality check for new compers.
Prize-value distribution
Histogram of prize values across your wins. Spoiler: most are under £50 — the £20,000 holidays are outliers.
What typical comping statistics look like
Approximate ranges drawn from how UK compers in the community describe their results. Your numbers will sit somewhere in here — and the analytics dashboard tells you exactly where.
| Comper profile | Entries / month | Typical win rate | What that looks like |
|---|---|---|---|
| Casual (5 entries/day) | ~150 / month | ~0.3–0.8% | 0–1 small win / month |
| Regular (20 entries/day) | ~600 / month | ~0.5–2% | 3–12 wins / month |
| Power (50+ entries/day) | ~1,500+ / month | ~1–3% | 15–45 wins / month, mostly small |
| Niche specialist (postal/photo) | ~50–100 / month | ~5–15% | Fewer wins, often higher value |
Ranges are approximate and depend heavily on entry mix and prize categories. See comping statistics for a deeper community breakdown.

How to use comping analytics to actually win more
Three practical, repeatable plays you can run as soon as you have a month of data in the dashboard.
1. Use entry-source breakdown to cut your worst-performing channel
Filter the analytics dashboard by source. If your Facebook giveaway win rate is 0% across 400 entries, that is six full evenings you will never get back. Reallocate to the source with your highest win rate — for most UK compers that is on-pack and instant-win.
2. Read the prize-value histogram before you set goals
Lots of new compers set a goal of "win £1,000 in prizes this year". The histogram usually shows that goal is one £500 holiday plus 30 little wins, not a single big prize. Sets your expectations honestly — see also our comping statistics breakdown.
3. Use the time-of-day heatmap to find your real comping window
Most compers think they enter 20 a day. The heatmap usually says 35 on Mondays and 8 on Fridays. Use the data to defend your most-productive 20 minutes — and skip comping on the days you obviously cannot.
Data-driven comping wins more, in less time
- Know your actual competition win rate instead of guessing.
- Identify which competition types are worth your time.
- Set realistic goals based on historical data, not optimism.
- Track improvement over months and years.
- Make informed decisions about where to focus your daily 20 minutes.
Analytics works best alongside the competition tracker (your data source), the Sweepzy Mailbox (which auto-detects wins from your inbox) and comping achievements (which gamify the milestones your stats unlock).
Honest data
Sweepzy never inflates your stats or compares you to invented benchmarks. Real numbers, drawn only from the entries you log.
The more data sources you connect, the better the analytics
Competition tracker entries

Sweepzy Mailbox auto-detect

Achievement progress
